CNC Machinist/Internship

Granite Mountain Design

Compensation: $14.50/hr to $25.00/hr (Depending on Experience)

Granite Mountain Design is seeking full-time and part-time day shift and night shift CNC Set-Up personnel and CNC Operators. Experience on Haas/FANUC CNC mills and Lathes is preferred. Position requires applicant to set-up, operate, make minor programming changes, and develop fixtures to meet blueprint requirements. Applicant should be organized, self-motivated and team oriented. Scheduling flexibility is available.

This is an opportunity for those new to CNC as well as experienced machinists and operators to gain more experience and learn in an active and dynamic CNC environment.

Qualifications for Setup Positions Include:

• Perform set-ups in an efficient time frame.
  • Gather tooling, fixtures, and material to perform setup.
  • Assemble tooling and install into machine.
  • Install fixtures and indicate accordingly.
• Ability to perform minor edits to programs.
• Optimize feeds and speeds based on machine feedback.
• Identify and solve problems.
• Willingness to work overtime when possible.
• Solidworks and FeatureCam experience a plus.
• Wage will be based on experience.

Qualifications for Operator Position Include:

• Familiarity with CNC Mills and/or CNC Lathes.
• Perform tool offsets to keep parts within defined tolerances.
• Read blueprints, including geometric tolerancing.
• Read and understand CNC programs.
• Use precision measuring equipment (calipers, micrometers, etc).
• Perform all necessary inspections on production parts to remain within tolerance.
• Wage will be based on experience.
