NACOG Aging offers a hybrid in office/remote work schedule once training has been successfully completed for select positions. 

SUMMARY

In compliance with Federal Law, all persons hired will be required to verify identity and eligibility to work in the United States and to complete the required employment eligibility verification form upon hire.

Working under general supervision and with moderate difficulty, this position is responsible for delivering health and wellness programs to older adults to help enhance their quality of life.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Delivers evidence based programs to help older adults improve and maintain health and wellness
  • Collaborates with community partners in providing outreach, education, and guidance to older adults to ensure comprehensive service delivery, including prevention and management of chronic illness and injury
  • Recruits and guides program volunteers to provide high quality service delivery
  • Compiles data to ensure accurate and timely program reporting

Other related duties as assigned.

 

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:

Associate’s Degree from an accredited college or university in public health, nutrition, exercise science, or other related field of study; and three years’ experience in a related field; OR an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience which demonstrates the ability to perform the duties of the position.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS & WORK ENVIRONMENT:

Physical Activity:   Frequent standing, walking, sitting, listening, talking, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, reaching, pushing, pulling, lifting, finger use, grasping, feeling, and repetitive motion.  Occasional climbing and crawling.

Physical exertion:   ___ Sedentary;   ___ Light;   _X_ Medium;   ___ Heavy;   ___ Very Heavy.  Work involves exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 30 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects.

Visual requirements: Visual acuity to determine accuracy, neatness and thoroughness of work assigned.

Working conditions:  Occasional exposure to dangerous machinery, extreme weather conditions, potential physical harm, hazardous chemicals, and infectious disease.
