POSITION SUMMARY:

In compliance with Federal Law, all persons hired will be required to verify identity and eligibility to work in the United States and to complete the required employment eligibility verification form upon hire.

Working under administrative supervision and with moderate difficulty, this position is responsible for implementing, facilitating, and delivering health and wellness programs to older adults to help enhance their quality of life.  This position is also responsible for supervising program staff.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Implements, facilitates, and delivers evidence based programs to help older adults improve and maintain health and wellness
  • Develops and maintains effective working relationships with community partners in providing outreach, education, and guidance to older adults to ensure comprehensive service delivery, including prevention and management of chronic illness and injury
  • Seeks grant funding opportunities for expanded health and wellness program activities
  • Recruits and guides program volunteers to provide high quality service delivery
  • Assists in the recruiting and hiring of program staff
  • Supervises staff, including scheduling, assigning work, disciplining, and training
  • Prepares and submits reports to ensure program compliance

Other related duties as assigned.

 

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:

Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university in public health or health and wellness coaching, or other related field of study; and three years’ experience in a related field; OR an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience which demonstrates the ability to perform the duties of the position.

CERTIFICATES & LICENSES:

  • MOB Master Leader (within one year)
  • Mental Health First Aid Instructor (within one year)
