Responsibilities include organizing and assigning duties to medical assistants, establishing work schedules to provide adequate coverage as well as monitoring and controlling overtime, monitoring daily performance of medical assistants to ensure all duties are completed accurately, efficiently and timely. Evaluate performance of medical assistants and conduct written and verbal feedback. Conduct orientation and training on clinical policies and procedures. Maintain and update policies and procedures to comply with OSHA requirements as well as clinical changes. Serve as backup when necessary to ensure patients are seen timely and efficiently. Conduct staff meetings providing education and training to clinical staff.
The successful candidate will promote teamwork, effectively communicate to provide a positive, efficient workplace. Have at least one year experience in back office management as well as patient care. Medical Assistant diploma or certification required. Must be familiar with standard SOAP notes to ensure proper documentation in a paper chart environment.
