2026-11-03     Consultex Practice Management     all cities,AK
Description:

Company: Consultex Practice Management (CPM) Location: [Remote / Roseville, CA] Employment type: Full-time Pay: $25 to $35 per hour or annual salary, based on experience

About CPM

CPM is a revenue cycle management firm built for behavioral health. We take on billing, credentialing, verification of benefits, utilization review, and reporting for substance use disorder and mental health treatment providers, from outpatient programs to residential care. Our clients count on us to get paid correctly and on time so they can focus on their patients. We work with Medicaid and commercial payers across many states, and our team keeps growing because our clients keep winning.

The role

As an Account Manager, you are the day-to-day voice of CPM for your clients. You will make sure each client knows where their money stands, what we are working on, and what we need from them. Inside CPM, you connect the client to our billing, credentialing, and utilization review teams and keep every issue moving until it is solved.

This is an entry level role with real training and a clear path. You will start with a small set of accounts alongside an experienced Account Manager and take on more ownership as you grow. It is a strong fit if you are organized, communicate clearly, and like being the person who makes things happen for others.

What you will do

  • Serve as the main point of contact for your assigned clients by email, phone, and video call
  • Respond to client questions quickly and follow every request through to resolution
  • Prepare for and lead regular client check-in meetings, including agendas, action items, and follow-up
  • Review billing and A/R reports and turn them into clear updates for clients
  • Spot problems early, such as rising denials, slow payers, or missing documents, and bring them to the right team
  • Coordinate between clients and our billing, credentialing, and utilization review teams
  • Keep client records, notes, and open items current so nothing falls through the cracks
  • Help onboard new clients by gathering access, documents, and payer information
  • Support client renewals and growth by noticing where we can help more

What you bring

  • 1 or more years of experience in a client-facing, customer success, operations, or healthcare administration role
  • Excellent written and verbal communication, with a calm and professional tone
  • Strong organization and the ability to manage several accounts and deadlines at once
  • Comfort with spreadsheets and learning new software quickly
  • Willingness to learn how medical billing and revenue cycle work, and the curiosity to ask good questions
  • Ownership mindset: when something is unclear, you find the answer
  • Reliable internet and a quiet, dedicated workspace if the role is remote

Bonus points

  • Experience in medical billing, revenue cycle management, or a behavioral health setting
  • Familiarity with claims, denials, or payer terminology
  • Experience using a CRM or ticketing system
  • Experience presenting data or reports to clients

What success looks like

  • In your first 30 days, you learn our processes, shadow client meetings, and meet your clients
  • In 90 days, you run check-in meetings for your accounts and respond to client needs on your own
  • In 6 months, you manage your accounts independently, your clients trust you, and you are ready for a larger portfolio

Why CPM

  • Hands-on training in a specialized and in-demand part of healthcare
  • A team that promotes from within, with a clear path to Senior Account Manager and leadership
  • Direct exposure to client leadership and the business side of behavioral health
  • A collaborative culture where you are never left to figure out hard problems alone
  • Benefits, PTO, and remote work
