We are seeking a detail-oriented Insurance Collector I to join a busy healthcare revenue cycle team. In this temporary role, you will be responsible for insurance collections, claim follow-up, denial management, and accounts receivable support to ensure timely reimbursement from government and commercial insurance carriers.

Temporary Insurance Collector Details:

  • Temporary position
  • $ 20.00 / hour
  • Full Time work available
  • First Shift (Monday through Friday from 07:30am to 04:00am)
  • Follow up with insurance companies regarding outstanding claims and delayed payments.
  • Review and resolve billing issues involving eligibility, authorizations, registrations, and coordination of benefits.
  • Investigate and appeal denied claims to maximize reimbursement.
  • Respond to payer inquiries and correspondence within established timelines.
  • Accurately document collection activities and account updates in billing systems.
  • Maintain productivity and quality standards while managing assigned accounts receivable.
  • Identify trends impacting claim processing and contribute to process improvement efforts.
  • Utilize billing and financial systems including Cerner, FinThrive, and other patient financial service platforms.
  • Remain current on payer guidelines, billing regulations, HIPAA requirements, and coding updates.

Temporary Insurance Collector Qualifications:

  • Previous medical insurance collections, billing, accounts receivable, or healthcare revenue cycle experience preferred.
  • Knowledge of commercial and government insurance plans.
  • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple accounts and prioritize deadlines effectively.
  • Proficiency with computer systems and data entry.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Applicant may be subject to a background check
  • Pre-employment drug screen is required as a condition of employment
