FULLY REMOTE Workers' Compensation Defense Legal Assistant

Our established law firm client is seeking an experienced Workers' Compensation Legal Assistant to support a busy practice. This role is ideal for a detail-oriented professional with strong knowledge of California workers' compensation procedures and legal administrative support.

Responsibilities:

• Transcribe legal dictation, status reports, and settlement documents
• Prepare pleadings, correspondence, and discovery-related materials
• Manage case files, calendaring, and attorney support functions
• Prepare hearing, deposition, and trial-related documents
• Coordinate filings and maintain accurate billing records

Qualifications:

• 3+ years of legal assistant experience, preferably in Workers' Compensation
• Strong knowledge of California court procedures and litigation deadlines
• Experience with e-filing and legal vendors
• Advanced Microsoft Office and Adobe Acrobat skills
• Typing speed of 75+ WPM
• Experience with A1-Law, VTransact, and EAMS is a plus
