We are actively seeking a Sales Director for our US-East Region. The role will typically be based near a major US city and will require frequent travel across the region. The role reports to a VP of Sales in North America.

The Sales Director is a quota-carrying position, with an assigned quota higher than the quota of a Senior Account Executive (SAE). The Sales Director will have an assigned territory. To provide the opportunity to meet and exceed the higher quota, they will be assigned additional accounts and/or portions of unassigned territories as determined by Revenue Operations and Sales Management.

The ideal candidate will be a current Rimini Street Senior Account Executive (SAE) with a track record of success in finding new opportunities, building a pipeline, and closing business. This successful track record should be based on closing deals across the Rimini Street portfolio. Candidates should be charismatic executives, possess an entrepreneurial spirit and a willingness to share their expertise and teach others. The Sales Director will be expected to serve as a role model and help mentor other Rimini Street sales people.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities
  • Identify opportunities and build pipeline in a territory and assigned accounts
  • Develop and execute a plan to meet quarterly and annual goals for new client invoicing
  • Execute against the plan to exceed quota targets every quarter
  • Manage sales cycle from identifying prospects, working with multiple internal teams to coordinate appropriate resources, all the way through to closing the deal
  • Execute Rimini Street sales methodology and ensure that sales activities are updated, current and tracked in Salesforce.com
  • Build and maintain high-level relationships with prospects and clients
  • Travel as needed (estimated up to 40%) to visit clients, progress opportunities and close deals
  • Reinforce and extend the unique and strong Rimini Street culture by serving as a role model and mentor to the rest of the Sales team
Professional Experience and Qualifications

Experience

  • 10+ years experience selling enterprise software, support and services in either start-up environments or medium-to-large enterprise software companies
  • 5+ years experience (typical) selling Rimini Street support and service solutions, with a record of meeting and exceeding sales goals
  • Direct experience in opening new accounts, including cold-calling, lead prospecting and lead development
  • Proven experience in team selling, as this role will require you to coordinate resources from multiple groups and functions across the company
  • Demonstrated results in leading cross-functional teams to execute projects, develop opportunities and close deals
  • Established record of building and developing executive-level relationships with prospects, clients, partners and influencers, and in leveraging those relationships for networking, prospecting and references

Qualifications and Skills

  • Strong understanding of sales fundamentals and sales methodologies including solution selling, team selling and the Salesforce.com application
  • Highly evolved selling, relationship management and negotiation skills and the ability to interact with a range of customer roles from C-level executives, to Procurement, Legal and line-of-business representatives
  • Demonstrated ability to combine strong analytical skills, qualitative analysis and people skills to solve complex business issues
  • Business acumen developed through years of experience in Enterprise software and/or services businesses
  • Customer-centric approach and a passion for helping customers address issues and focus on improving their core business
  • Ability to influence and direct groups in dotted-line relationships and matrixed organizations
  • Outstanding communication skills, verbal, written and in presentations
  • Willingness to embrace change and adapt in a rapidly evolving, fast-moving market and company
  • Demonstrated success building and reinforcing a unique and creative culture that is team-oriented and collaborative
  • Strong time management and organizational skills
  • Proven record of producing high-quality deliverables and results, on-time

Education

Bachelor's degree or equivalent required, Masters preferred.
