Under minimal supervision, oversees the day-to-day operation and activities of the Public Safety Telecommunicators and Dispatch Center. Major Duties, Responsibilities Responsible for supervision and administration to include staff development, training, and performance management; ensures operational readiness of equipment related to the 911 emergency telephone system, user and affiliated agency radio systems, and the departments computer aided dispatch system (CAD); makes minor repairs to communication systems, analyzes problems and makes referrals to appropriate sources of service. Assist Public Safety Telecommunicators with difficult and complex operations. Assist with the divisions administrative responsibilities to include gathering data for statistical analysis; creating and reviewing policies and procedures; conducts quality assurance reviews and assists with the completion of strategic management plan goals.
