The Financial Consultant will play a key role on the Optum Health Home & Community Clinical SG&A Finance team leading a variety of FP&A functions, including budget and forecasts, financial and operational reporting and analysis, process improvements, developing clear and compelling insights, and driving cross-team collaboration.

You'll enjoy the flexibility to work remotely from anywhere within the U.S. as you take on some tough challenges. For all hires in the Minneapolis or Washington, D.C. area, you will be required to work in the office a minimum of four days per week.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Lead the month end, annual budget, and periodic forecasts end-to-end processes and communications including presentations
  • Perform variance analysis, bridge financial and operational results across all periods of interest, identify and articulate trends and drivers
  • Perform ad hoc reporting and analysis and investigate issues providing insights to leadership Demonstrate high degree of accountability
  • Collaborate in matrix team environment as lead clinical finance partner supporting various stakeholders

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or equivalent field
  • 3+ years of finance or related experience
  • Proficiency in MS Excel

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience using Hyperion Essbase and PeopleSoft Financials
  • Proven solid interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills
  • Proven detail oriented; solid organizational, analytical and critical thinking skills with the ability to manage and prioritize multiple responsibilities, deadlines and changing priorities
  • Proven initiative, be a self-starter, self-directed, highly motivated and able to work in a fast-paced environment

Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. In addition to your salary, we offer benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements). The salary for this role will range from $72,800 to $130,000 annually based on full-time employment. We comply with all minimum wage laws as applicable.
