Job Summary and Responsibilities

As our National Resident Nurse at Dignity Health YRMC , now part of CommonSpirit Health , you'll bridge the gap between classroom learning and real-world nursing practice. You'll work closely with a clinical preceptor to build trust with patients and apply your knowledge in a supportive environment.

  • Deliver excellence in patient care through assessing formulating nursing diagnoses and establishing goals planning and implementing intervention and evaluating patient care outcomes.

  • Read analyze and interpret hospital policies and procedures professional journals technical procedures or governmental regulations.

  • Write reports and procedures and document in the medical record.

  • Effectively present information and respond to questions from co-workers managers patients physicians family members and the general public.

  • Calculate figures and amounts such as weights dosages flow rates proportions percentages and volume.

  • Apply concepts such as fractions percentages ratios and proportions to practical situations. Define problems collect data establish facts and draw valid conclusions.

  • Interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.

  • Critically think and problem solve

Job Requirements

Required

  • Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing with a minimum of an Associate's Degree in Nursing required;

  • 0-12 months of professional nursing (RN) experience

  • Active License as a Registered Nurse (RN) in the practicing state by the cohort start date 7/20/2026

  • BLS certification - American Heart Association

  • Unofficial Transcripts with GPA

  • Additional certifications may be required based on population(s) served and services provided

  • Must be able to complete entire program with a perfect attendance record

  • Must be able to work 3 days per week after completing first 12 weeks

  • Must be able to work and train on either night or day shifts including holidays

  • Must agree to terms and conditions of the program

Preferred

  • Bachelor's degree in Nursing (BSN)

  • AHA ACLS
