We are looking for a Senior Wastewater Operations Supervisor who will perform and oversee complex technical tasks in the operation, maintenance, and process control of a wastewater treatment facility, collections system, reclaimed water system, and onsite laboratory. This role ensures regulatory compliance, supports staff development, coordinates daily and weekly operational activities, and provides advanced technical guidance to maintain the safe, efficient, and reliable operation of the wastewater system.

Key Responsibilities:

• Operate and monitor wastewater treatment processes, including biological treatment, solids handling, disinfection, and reclaimed water production.
• Oversee daily operational activities and provide leadership to staff.
• Conduct process control adjustments based on laboratory data, SCADA trends, and system indicators in collaboration with management.
• Manage the operation and monitoring of the wastewater collections system.
• Execute compliance sampling, reporting, and quality assurance/control procedures.
• Prepare and submit regulatory compliance reports.
• Monitor SCADA system performance.
• Perform laboratory testing and analysis.
• Troubleshoot and maintain equipment.
• Coordinate contractor activities and assist in project delivery.
• Develop and update standard operating procedures (SOPs), safety protocols, and optimization initiatives.
• Provide training and mentorship to staff.
• Maintain detailed records and documentation.
• Respond to after-hours alarms and participate in on-call rotation.
• Ensure safety and compliance at all levels.

Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or GED.
• ADEQ Grade 3 Wastewater Treatment certification (or willingness to obtain within 12 months).
• ADEQ Grade 3 Wastewater Collections certification (or willingness to obtain within 12 months).
• Valid Class B CDL with Tanker Endorsement (or willingness to obtain within 12 months).
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Excel, and data systems.
• Valid driver's license with a clean record.
• Ability to pass a drug screen.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in wastewater treatment or a related field.
• Experience coordinating operational activities and skilled in diagnosing mechanical and process issues.
• Familiarity with laboratory sampling and analysis.
• Knowledge of SCADA and PLC systems.
• Ability to operate heavy equipment.
• Experience in asset management and capital improvement planning.
• Experience in training operators.
