The Mixer Driver is a critical member of the Martin Marietta team, responsible for the safe and efficient operation of a ready-mix concrete truck. The driver is tasked with the high-stakes delivery of perishable concrete products from plant locations to diverse customer job sites. This role requires more than just driving; it involves technical quality control (slump testing), equipment maintenance, and serving as the primary face of the company to contractors and clients. The objective is to maintain a "Safety First" culture while ensuring the highest level of customer service and product integrity. KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES - Operate heavy-duty ready-mix trucks in compliance with all DOT, state, and federal regulations, as well as Martin Mariettas rigorous safety standards. Exercise expert judgment when accessing job sites to avoid hazards (soft ground, overhead wires, or tight clearances) and ensure the safest position for unloading.
