Central Arizona Nocturnist Job Role : Nocturnist - Internal Medicine Location : Central Arizona (approx. 100 miles north of Phoenix) Type : Permanent Employer : Private hospitalist group Credentialing : Two hospitals (you only work at one per shift/week - no inter-hospital travel ) Start : Open to 2026 residents ; H1B visa transfer opportunities available Clinical Details Schedule : 7-on/7-off; 12-hour shifts (6-6 or 7-7 depending on site) Volume : 18-22 patients/day (may be higher during busy season) Admissions : Hospital : 0-2 from 6 AM-12 PM; daytime admitter 12-8 PM Hospital : Admissions from 7 AM-12 PM or 4-7 PM Coverage : Hospital : 5 hospitalist teams, 2 NP teams, one admitter, ICU nocturnist at night Hospital : 2 hospitalists 1 NP team, 1 nocturnist at night ICU Duties : Hospital : ICU rounding possible, Intensivist support available Hospital : ICU rounding required; transfer decompensating patients to Hospital Codes : Hospital : Respond to codes/RRTs for own patients; ED/Intensivists lead Hospital : Respond to all codes/RRTs Procedures : Not required EMR : Cerner Compensation & Benefits Base Salary : $300,000-$350,000 Extra Shifts : Available (in-house moonlighting) Benefits : Health (up to $1,000/month subsidy) Dental, Vision, Life, Disability Malpractice with tail $3,000/year CME allowance 401K/profit sharing after 1 year Bonuses : $25,000 signing bonus $15,000 relocation allowance Partnership after 2 years (no buy-in, quarterly profit-sharing) Lifestyle & Location Located in a charming Central AZ town (pop. 50,000) Mild, enjoyable weather Historic downtown, live music venues, good quality of life
