Wren House Prairie Patio (Prescott) is seeking an enthusiastic and knowledgeable individual to join our team in a part-time capacity. Beertenders play a vital role in creating memorable experiences for our customers by providing exceptional service and sharing their passion for craft beer. The ideal candidates will have a strong understanding of craft beer, excellent communication skills, and a genuine desire to engage with customers in a friendly and welcoming manner.

Prairie Patio is Wren House's casual outdoor patio space, featuring biergarten-style seating and a walk-up service trailer pouring a curated tap list of Wren House beers. This position is currently available for Thursdays, with a strong preference for candidates who have flexibility to pick up occasional weekend shifts to cover for team members as needed.

• Customer Service:
  • Welcome and greet customers as they enter the taproom.
  • Provide friendly and attentive service to guests, ensuring a positive and memorable experience.
  • Educate customers about Wren House, our beer offerings, and the brewing process.
  • Assist customers in selecting beers based on their preferences and provide recommendations.
• Beer Presentation and Service:
  • Pour and serve beer to customers with accuracy and attention while providing customer education.
  • Maintain, clean and organize taproom areas, including the bar and seating areas.
  • Serve beer with care to ensure cleanliness and safety.
• Beer Knowledge & Education:
  • Stay up-to-date on our current beer lineup, including seasonal and specialty offerings.
  • Continuously expand knowledge of craft beer styles, ingredients, and brewing techniques.
  • Engage with customers to discuss beer styles, flavor profiles, and brewing trends.
• Sales and Merchandising:
  • Promote Wren House merchandise, including apparel, glassware, and other branded items.
  • Process transactions accurately using our point-of-sale (Square for Retail) system.
  • Assist in maintaining inventory levels and restocking merchandise as needed.

Qualifications:

• Previous experience in a customer service or hospitality role preferred.
• Passion for craft beer and a desire to learn more about the brewing industry.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to engage with diverse groups of people.
• Excellent multitasking abilities and attention to detail in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
• Ability to lift 100 pounds, bend, squat, and stand intermittently.
• AZ Food Handlers and Title 4 certifications or willingness to obtain certifications
