Position Overview

The Project Manager, Facilities is a senior-level professional responsible for managing complex facility assessment, repair, and restoration projects across a diverse building portfolio. This role combines technical leadership, project management, and client engagement, supporting projects ranging from property condition assessments to detailed system evaluations, restoration design, and construction administration.


Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and deliver complex facilities and building enclosure projects from assessment through construction support.
  • Plan, schedule, and coordinate property condition assessments, inspections, and testing of buildings, roofs, façades, MEP systems, pavements, industrial floors, and waterproofing systems.
  • Apply a range of assessment techniques including visual inspections, non-destructive testing, instrumentation, load testing, laboratory testing, and selective destructive investigations.
  • Develop repair and restoration recommendations and oversee preparation of technical reports, design documents, and construction-related deliverables.
  • Serve as a technical resource and mentor to junior project team members.
  • Interface directly with clients to define scopes of work, manage project progress, and communicate findings and recommendations.
  • Prepare or oversee proposals, scopes, and cost estimates.
  • Maintain responsibility for quality control and adherence to safety standards on all projects.
  • Participate in professional organizations, technical presentations, and business development activities.


Experience & Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Building Science, Architecture, Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field and 7–10 years of progressive experience in facilities assessment, building envelope, or restoration consulting; or
  • In lieu of a degree, 11–14 years of directly related experience in facilities assessment, repair, and restoration projects.
  • Demonstrated experience managing multi-discipline facilities projects, including budgets, schedules, and client deliverables.
  • Strong technical background in building systems such as roofs, façades, waterproofing, structural components, and MEP systems.
  • Proven ability to lead projects independently while coordinating with internal teams and external stakeholders.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with experience producing detailed technical reports and client-facing documentation.
  • Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record.


Preferred Certifications

  • Registered Roof Observer (RRO)
  • Registered Waterproofing Consultant (RWC)
  • One or more additional relevant certifications such as RBEC, BECxP, or LEED AP
