Role Description

This is a full-time on-site role for a Student Services Coordinator located in the Greater Phoenix Area. The Student Services Coordinator will be responsible for providing support and assistance to students regarding financial aid, student counseling, and educational needs. The coordinator will also handle communication with students and parents, as well as offer exceptional customer service. Day-to-day tasks will include managing student records, advising students on various programs, and implementing strategies to enhance the overall student experience.


Qualifications

  • Experience in Student Financial Aid and Student Counseling
  • Strong Communication and Customer Service skills
  • Bachelor's degree in education, Counseling, Human Services, or related fields.
  • Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities
  • Ability to work collaboratively with staff and students


General Responsibilities

  • Serve as a primary point of contact for students requiring academic or personal support.
  • Responding to inquiries from various internal and external parties (e.g. staff, parents, students).
  • Responsible for the pickup and drop off of students to classrooms
  • Act as a liaison between students, parents, teachers, and school leadership.
  • Providing school tours as a backup to school registrar
  • Maintain clear, confidential records of student interactions and services.
  • Help with arrival and dismissal duties as needed
  • Assist with scheduling and coordination of standardized testing and academic accommodations.
  • Strictly adhere to the school's rules and policies.


Support Student Recognition and Functions

  • Collect Sunnah tickets for weekly drawings
  • Print certificates or certain publications requested by admins
  • Collect money and forms for the senior packages.
  • Coordinating picture day with the events coordinator

Attendance Tracking

  • Monitor Attendance: Work with teachers and the school administration to track daily attendance, ensure accurate record-keeping, and identify patterns of absenteeism. Check the attendance hotline and attendance email and update student attendance accordingly, and recording attendance for subs.
  • Report Attendance Data: Prepare and submit regular attendance reports to school or government bodies as required.
  • Support in Attendance-Related Issues: Work with families, students, and staff to resolve attendance issues and ensure proper documentation for excused absences. Oversee with the extended leave applications with the Vice Principal of Climate and Culture

Student Support and Oversight

  • Schedule and oversee placement exams with the registrar. Help students log into the testing platform and monitor their testing environment.
  • Assist in administrative tasks such as auditing student attendance records and organizing student recognition events.
  • Coordinating communication between the principal, teachers, and parents regarding disciplinary actions or special needs supports student behavior management efforts.
  • Monitoring students referred for disciplinary action to ensure student welfare and maintain a secure office environment.
  • Assist with coordinating student activities such as school-wide events, extracurricular activities, and field trips, ensuring that logistics and permissions are handled effectively.
  • Assigning lockers to students in grades 6-12

Compensation and Working Conditions:

  • Salary range: (commensurate with experience)
