Summary:

The IT Systems Manager leads the enterprise systems engineering team, ensuring the design, implementation, optimization, and security of all enterprise systems and infrastructure. This role combines technical expertise with leadership to drive operational excellence, strategic planning, and continuous improvement.

Responsibilities:

• Leadership & Team Management: Supervise and mentor systems engineers; set priorities and monitor performance.
• Strategic Planning: Align IT systems strategy with organizational goals; recommend scalable solutions.
• Operations: Oversee enterprise server systems, virtualization, storage, and backups; ensure reliability and compliance.
• Policy & Compliance: Develop and enforce IT standards and security best practices.
• Project Management: Lead upgrades, migrations, and deployments; manage cross-functional teams.
• Reporting & Budgeting: Provide performance reports; manage departmental expenses.
• Continuous Improvement: Stay current with emerging technologies; drive innovation.
• Role requires 24/7 responsiveness.
• Work closely with Vendor Partners to establish relationships.
• Comply with the company's drug-free and tobacco/nicotine-free policy.
• All other duties as assigned.

Experience/Qualifications:

• Experience: 7-10 years in IT systems roles, 3+ years in leadership.
• Expertise in cloud solutions, virtualizations, enterprise storage, and backup solutions.
• Experience in multi-factor authentication solutions.
• Experience in risk management and compliance frameworks.
• Strong scripting skills (PowerShell required; Bash preferred).
• Excellent leadership and communication skills.
• Ability to lift- up to 25 lbs. consistently and 50 lbs. infrequently.
• Must be able to legally work in the USA.

Education and Certification(s)/License(s):

• Bachelor's degree in IT or related field preferred. Commensurate experience would be considered.
• Must hold at least two current certifications from the following list (not all are required): Microsoft Certified: Windows Server Hybrid Administrator Associate, Microsoft 365 Administrator Expert, VCP (VMware Certified Professional) or VCAP (VMware Certified Advanced Professional).
