Job Title: IT Healthcare Consultant - Quality Assurance Analyst - Advanced
Work Type: Hybrid (3 days onsite / 2 remote)
Location: Columbia, SC (Must be SC resident or willing to relocate before start)
Contract Duration: 12+ Months
Interview Process: 1 Round - Virtual

Responsibilities:
• Develop and execute test plans, test cases, and test scenarios based on business requirements and policy documentation
• Translate functional and policy requirements into detailed QA and UAT scenarios
• Build and maintain test cases and integrate them into test management systems
• Perform functional, regression, UI, negative, usability, and stability testing
• Conduct testing of IBM Curam applications and modules
• Execute and support automated testing scripts and oversee deployment of automated tests
• Create and maintain QA documentation, defect logs, and reporting artifacts
• Identify defects, document issues, and coordinate their resolution with development teams
• Perform quality assessments to expose functional gaps, defects, and security-related issues
• Maintain databases and repositories for defects, enhancements, and user feedback
• Participate in walkthroughs, reviews, governance processes, and inspections
• Communicate test status, open defects, risks, and gaps clearly to technical and business teams
• Recommend process improvements and contribute to testing best practices
• Support Agile and Waterfall SDLC activities depending on project needs

Required Skills:
• 3+ years translating business requirements or policy documentation into test cases and scenarios
• 3+ years building test cases and scenarios into test systems
• 2+ years hands-on testing experience with IBM Curam
• Strong ability to document, design, and execute test scenarios across multiple environments
• Ability to communicate defect details, status updates, and test outcomes clearly with development teams

Preferred Skills:
• 5+ years experience with large enterprise or e-business systems
• Prior healthcare operations knowledge, preferably Medicaid (eligibility, claims, enrollment, etc.)
• Proficiency with Atlassian tools including JIRA and Confluence
• Experience working in both Waterfall SDLC and Agile delivery environments
• Technical or Project Management certifications (desirable)

Education Requirements:
• Bachelor's degree in a technical, business, or related field
• OR 3+ years of equivalent professional experience in place of formal education
