School Custodial Cleaner

The School Custodial Cleaner provides the cleaning and upkeep of an assigned area. ABM offers a comprehensive benefits package. Basic qualifications include being 18 years of age or older, no experience required and on the job training provided, and no high school diploma, GED or college degree required. Preferred qualifications include customer service experience and 1 year of similar work experience. Responsibilities include cleaning and maintaining buildings/facilities, following procedures for the use of chemical cleaners and power equipment, notifying manager concerning the need for repairs or additions to building operating systems, establishing and maintaining effective communication and working relationships with clients, co-workers, shift coordinators, supervisors, managers, etc., complying with all safety, security, compliance, and quality standards and procedures established by the Company, Clients, and regulatory authorities, cleaning and dusting furniture, fixtures, floors, ceilings, walls, machines, and equipment, moving cabinets, boxes, furniture, crates and equipment to clean areas, either manually or by using hand trucks, cleaning interior partition glass, windows, glass partitions, and mirrors using soapy water or other cleaners, sponges, and squeegees, washing and replacing blinds, gathering and emptying trash, sweeping walks, raking leaves, cutting grass, removing snow or performing other incidental seasonal tasks, wiping and cleaning tabletops, chairs, and equipment in food areas, and servicing, cleaning, and supplying restrooms. A good job for someone just entering the workforce or returning to the workforce with limited experience and education.
