Job description

Motul TECH - Chem Arrow is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Accountant to lead the accounting and financial operations for our operations in US and Canada. In this senior-level role, you will take ownership of all aspects of accounting and financial reporting ensuring compliance with US GAAP and local regulations.

What you will do

Financial Close, Reporting & Forecasting

• Own the monthly and annual financial close for US and Canadian entities, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and compliance with Group standards and US GAAP.
• Prepare financial statements, cash flow reporting, and key performance indicators, with clear analysis of variances versus budget and forecast.
• Lead the budgeting and forecasting process, partnering with commercial and operations teams.
• Act as the primary point of contact for external auditors and support audit and statutory requirements.

Internal Controls, Compliance & Process Improvement

• Ensure strong internal controls and compliance with US GAAP, company policies, and local regulatory requirements.
• Support tax reporting (sales/use tax and income tax schedules) in coordination with internal and external stakeholders.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives, including process simplification, automation, cost-reduction programs, and ad-hoc strategic projects.

Profile

What we are looking for:

Education / Qualification:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field required.
• Master's degree in Accounting, Finance is a plus.

Experience needed:

• 5 to 7 years experience in accounting, with a focus on financial reporting, reconciliations, and month-end close processes.
• Experience in a senior accounting role or as a lead accountant in a medium to large-sized organization.
• Direct involvement in external audits, preparing necessary documentation, responding to auditor queries, and ensuring compliance with regulations.
• Audit experience could be a real plus.

Language:

• English
• Spanish or French: nice to have

IT Knowledge:

• Proficient and effective in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. Excellent skills in Excel (SUMIFS, INDEX/MATCH, LOOKUP)

Salary range:

$90,000 - $100,000 per year.
