Flight Simulation Department Assistant

Provide direct assistance to the manager of the flight simulation department to include hands-on technical/mechanical repairs, programming, configuration, calibration, and the use of critical thinking as it relates to flight training devices (simulators), and interactive systems. Ideal candidates will have aviation experience along with technical experience in several of the following areas: simulation, data visualization, computer graphic systems, artificial intelligence, PC/server computer systems/graphics/IP networking, electronics troubleshooting/repair/soldering, and other human-interface technologies.

Required Education and Qualifications:

  • Associate's degree or completion of program of 18+ months after high school.
  • Windows 7, 10, 11, iOS, iPad/iPhone, Safari, DOS (rare), X-plane, Prepar3d, VR/MR/AR technologies. Must know how to use hand tools, or willing to learn (as needed) to repair/replace mechanical components of flight simulators. Must be able to bend and lay to reach under simulator dash boards, etc. Must be willing and able to be a team player and possess effective communication skills as needed for daily tasks.
