  • Performs all ranges of respiratory care for all patient populations
  • Demonstrates knowledge of and complies with the hospital and departmental practices regarding national Patient Safety Goals, hand hygiene, AIDET, teach back, etc.
  • Distributes work assignments evenly and according to skill set and patient acuity. Coordinates workflow and adjusts assignments in order to facilitate the provision of timely and effective care. Assists in monitoring productivity.
  • Acts as a clinical resource and mentor for staff.
  • Provides direct patient care as appropriate to meet the needs of the patients and department. Communicates effectively with patients and families to resolve issues and provides service recovery when needed
  • Participates on a hospital or department level committee as requested.
Job Requirements

Required
  • Three years respiratory care experience
  • High School Diploma/GED and Graduate of an AMA Respiratory Therapy Program
  • AZ Board of Respiratory Care Examiners License
  • Certified Respiratory Therapist-CRT from National Board of Respiratory Care
  • American Heart Association Advanced Cardiac Life Support
  • American Heart Association Basic Life Support for Healthcare Providers
  • American Heart Association Pediatric Advanced Life Support
  • Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) within 90 days
Preferred
  • Associates degree
  • Registered Respiratory Therapist
