Under general direction, performs skilled and safe work of considerable difficulty in supervising the construction, maintenance and repair of County-maintained roads. Major Duties, Responsibilities Assists Roads management with work assignments, supervises crews, and determines priority of work to be done. Assigns daily road crew activities. Inspects and reviews work in progress and upon completion. Oversees ordering and scheduling of supplies, materials, tools, and equipment. Coordinates with other Road Construction Supervisors to distribute crew members to meet job requirements. Estimates needs and requisitions supplies, materials, tools and equipment for upcoming projects. Investigates citizen road complaints. Prepares employee performance appraisals and participates in personnel interviews. Train, mentor, and motivate crew members. Collaborates with Road Management and Supervisory staff on future budget needs and project priorities. Supervises snow removal operations.
