Accountant (Brazil - Remote)

JOB SUMMARY:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Accountant to manage and maintain financial records, ensure compliance with regulations, and provide accurate reporting to support decision-making. The ideal candidate has a strong understanding of accounting principles, excellent analytical skills, and proficiency in financial software.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Prepare and examine financial records, statements, and reports.

• Ensure accuracy and compliance with applicable laws and regulations.

• Manage accounts payable and receivable processes.

• Reconcile bank statements and general ledger accounts.

• Assist with budgeting and forecasting activities.

• Prepare tax returns and ensure timely tax payments.

• Conduct internal audits and support external audits as needed.

• Maintain and update accounting systems and databases.

• Collaborate with other departments to support overall financial health of the organization.

• Generate financial analysis and provide recommendations to improve efficiency.

• Knowledge of ECD and ECF analysis

CORE SKILLS/COMPETENCY REQUIREMENTS:

• Minimum of 5+ years of general accounting experience, preferably with background in both corporate accounting and Big 4 or BPO settings is a plus.

• Bachelor's degree in accounting with an active registration CRC (Conselho Regional de Contabilidade)

• Strong communication skills and being detail oriented with the ability to work independently as well as effectively in a team environment.

• Able to apply consistent standards while adapting to frequent changes in Company requirements.

• Presentation skills and experience with Power BI, strong Microsoft Excel and logic skills

• Be flexible and able to work with frequent interruptions and changing priorities.

• Experience with Protheus ERP system

• Postgraduate degree in Finance is considered an asset
