The pay range per hour is $21.00 - $35.70. Pay is based on factors including labor markets, education, work experience and certifications. General Merchandise & Food Sales Team Leader — Role Overview
Responsibilities focus on leading operations to ensure a consistent guest experience, including product in-stock, accurate pricing and signage, and efficient inbound/outbound activities. The team leads inventory accuracy, presentation, and pricing, and supports Food & Beverage and Food Service with a focus on freshness and safety. Leaders enable efficient delivery to guests and manage pick, pack and ship fulfillment (where applicable).
Key Responsibilities
- Execute daily/weekly workload to deliver department and store sales goals and guest engagement, including merchandising planning, pricing, sampling, promotions and price changes.
- Plan daily/weekly workload for departments to support business priorities and sales goals.
- Process improvements and workload efficiency.
- Lead a team of hourly team members; interview, develop, coach, evaluate and retain talent. Coach and train hourly team members under direct leader guidance.
- Assist with daily execution of receiving, restocking, backroom organization, merchandise placement and promotional signs for GM areas; may include fulfillment activities where applicable.
- Work a schedule that aligns to guest and business needs (early morning, evening, overnight shifts and weekends).
- Assign daily tasks based on workload and guest traffic patterns, aligned with weekly/monthly priorities.
- Identify gaps in GM and Fulfillment processes and assist in developing plans for resolution.
- Lead food, food services (if applicable), inbound, outbound, replenishment, inventory accuracy, presentation, pricing and promotional signing processes with emphasis on freshness and reliability.
- Ensure a consistent guest experience by keeping product in stock, accurately priced and signed with minimal disruption.
- Maintain a fresh, full and food-safe area during all operating hours with strong inventory routines and Food Safety policies.
- Ensure adherence to Food Safety standards and cleaning routines; follow safety guidelines and state/federal regulations.
- Assess backroom and sales floor areas for Food & Beverage and Food Service (where applicable) to prioritize business needs and identify tasks; review reporting for trends.
- Stay up-to-date on trends and products; educate team members.
- Promote brand standards and foster partnerships with vendors to meet delivery and merchandising requirements; maintain areas to be full and clean.
- Create a welcoming guest experience and assist guests with their needs; thank guests and reinforce a positive shopping experience.

Minimum Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Age 18 or older.
- Retail experience preferred but not required.
- Strong interest and knowledge of the Food & Beverage business.
- Ability to lead and hold others accountable; learn and adapt to technology; work independently and as part of a team; manage workload; stay focused in a fast-paced environment; communicate effectively; maintain a welcoming attitude.
Additional Information
- Access all areas of the building to address guest or team member issues.
- Interpret instructions, reports and information accurately.
- Accurately handle cash register operations as needed.
- Physical requirements: climb ladders, frequently lift or move merchandise up to 44 pounds, and work in varied temperatures (34°F to -10°F where applicable).
- Flexible schedule required (nights, weekends, holidays); reliable attendance is essential.
