Overview

Lovet Pet Health Care is part of The Aspen Group (TAG), one of the largest retail healthcare support organizations in the U.S. TAG supports over 16,000 healthcare professionals across more than 1,200 offices in 46 states. Lovet was acquired by TAG in September 2022 and currently operates 25 animal hospitals in Arizona, Illinois, and Michigan. This role provides a unique opportunity to build the foundations for hypergrowth in the veterinary market.

Responsibilities

This Director will directly manage the Business Operations team, tasked with designing the blueprint for how an optimal hospital should operate, facilitating the rollout of new initiatives, managing vendor relationships, and providing ongoing hospital support. Additionally, the Director will lead highly strategic and cross?functional initiatives to ensure the scalability of our operating model, determine growth plans, and execute the playbook. The role combines strategic thinking with hands?on execution through the following project?based work:

  • Develop and refine product offering and bring it to market (bundles, membership plans, financing products, etc.)
  • Pilot and scale new service offerings across the portfolio (e.g., centralized call center)
  • Optimize client and provider scheduling models to improve profitability and other KPIs
  • Assist with strategic planning and monthly updates to TAG Executive Leadership Team
  • Diligently track industry trends to stay informed on current and future market dynamics
  • Analyze the competitive landscape at scale and understand key players strategies and actions
  • Observe hospital operations and work cross?functionally to develop concrete improvement plans

Qualifications

  • 6?12 years of relevant professional experience in a multi?unit service environment; experience in veterinary medicine or healthcare is preferred
  • Experience driving highly visible, cross?functional projects
  • Intellectually curious, inquisitive, thoughtful, and a good listener
  • Strong critical thinking skills with the ability to develop creative solutions to multi?dimensional problems
  • Excellent organization and multitasking skills in a fast?paced, ever?changing environment
  • Strong interpersonal skills; ability to lead through influence and collaborate across functional areas
  • Resourceful and motivated self?starter
  • Advanced command of MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word) for data analysis and executive?level presentations
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills; ability to articulate proposed actions and recommendations clearly
  • Ability to travel ~25%
