Position Title: Head Boys Volleyball Coach
Reports To: Athletic Director/Principal
Position Overview:
Bradshaw Mountain High School is seeking an enthusiastic, knowledgeable, and dedicated individual to lead our Boys Volleyball program as Head Coach. The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing student-athletes through instruction in volleyball fundamentals, strategy, and sportsmanship while fostering a competitive and positive team environment. The coach
will work closely with the Athletic Director, school administration, and other coaching staff to ensure the team's success both on and off the court.
Key Responsibilities:
* Plan, organize, and implement practice sessions that develop individual skills and team tactics
* Instruct athletes on proper techniques, conditioning, and game strategies
* Promote academic success, integrity, and good sportsmanship among players
* Oversee team selection and manage game-day lineups and substitutions
* Monitor and enforce team rules, school policies, and academic eligibility requirements
* Communicate effectively with players, parents, school staff, and the athletic department
* Supervise assistant coaches and ensure alignment with program goals
* Ensure proper maintenance and inventory of team equipment and uniforms
* Organize travel logistics, game scheduling, and coordination with officials
* Foster a positive and inclusive team culture aligned with school values
Qualifications:
* Experience: Previous coaching experience, preferably as a head coach or assistant coach at the high school level. Strong understanding of volleyball strategies, techniques, and rules.
Certification:
* Current CPR and First Aid certifications (or willingness to obtain prior to season starting)
* Background check and IVP Fingerprint Clearance Card
NFHS Coach Level 1:
* NFHS Fundamentals of Coaching
* NFHS Concussion in Sports
* NFHS Protecting Students from Abuse
* NFHS Sudden Cardiac Arrest
Skills:
* Strong leadership and organizational skills
* Ability to motivate, mentor, and guide student-athletes
* Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
* Ability to work effectively with diverse groups of students, parents, and staff

Work Conditions:
* Hours: Practice schedules may vary, but generally will be after school hours, including evenings and weekends for games and tournaments
* Physical Demands: Ability to demonstrate volleyball techniques and conduct active coaching during practices and games. Must be able to stand for long periods and move quickly in a fast-paced environment
* Travel: Some travel is required for away games and tournaments
