The Medical Reserve Corps is a national network of over 300,000 volunteers working to improve the health and safety of their communities. In Yavapai County, we welcome volunteers with both medical and non-medical backgrounds. Our volunteers are poised to help with hospital surge, patient screening, evacuation shelters, vaccinations, emergency phone banks for wildfires and floods, and events (examples are Firewise and health education events). During COVID-19 our members helped with contact tracing, testing, data entry and a phone bank.
The idea is to pre-register volunteers so they can be ready to help in the event of an emergency. When there is an emergency or non-emergent volunteer opportunity, MRC Members will be invited to help. You choose when and how often to participate!
