The Cardiovascular Technician performs interventional cardiology, vascular, electrophysiology, and hybrid operating room procedures. Responsibilities Patient Care - Obtains and reviews the requisition for exams and information (procedure requested, special notes/comments and patient condition). - Reviews worksheets and patient questionnaires relating to exam prior to start. - Interviews patients before a procedure to obtain patient history/information and documents all relevant information into EMR. - Explains procedure to be performed to obtain consent and cooperation and alleviate patient anxiety. - Addresses patient concerns of radiation exposure. - Transfers patient to examination table; assuring that patient is properly clothed/covered. - Demonstrates the ability place immobilization/supportive devices to obtain patient comfort and precise positioning. - Ensures that lead shields/protective clothing are properly in place and adjusted for staff and providers. - Ensures patient's co...Technician, Cardiovascular, Cardio, Healthcare, Patient Care, Technology
