Job Details

Under minimal direction, performs engineering, project management, and supervisory work of considerable difficulty in managing capital projects and directing the activities of Flood Control District personnel. Major Duties, Responsibilities Plans, organizes, and directs engineering activities and duties related to floodplain administration and flood control district management. Inspects, studies, analyzes, and formulates proposals for flood control and drainage problems. Prepares designs, technical reports, sketches, and drawings. Prepares project related requests for proposal and requests for bids and evaluates proposals for adequacy, regulatory compliance, technical merit, and project approach. Reviews projects for regulatory compliance, economic benefit, value engineering, technical issues, and sound engineering design. Evaluates, reviews, and guides District staff in daily activities.
