Position Summary
Responsible for prospecting, selling, pricing and profitability. Sales area is National Accounts - East , Unsold Key National Accounts: Publix, Dollar General, Dollar Tree, Meijer, Wakefern, BJs, Southeastern Grocers. Expand presence at Ahold Banners: Giant Martins, Giant Food, Stop & Shop, Hannaford, Food Lion. Portfolio is Hispanic Brands: La Chona, FUD. Categories are Hispanic Dairy (Cheeses & Creams) and Packaged Meats (Franks, Sausages, Hams, Lunchmeat). Develops new business by analyzing account potential, initiating, developing, and closing the sales cycle. Collaborates with Category Managers and Buyers to ensure successful execution of negotiations at Point of sale.
Job Responsibilities
Minimum Qualifications
Associate's Degree in Business, Finance, Marketing or three (3) years' work-related experience
Three years' experience in selling/account management in consumer goods.
Preferred Qualification
Experience in National Accounts - Grocery for consumer goods (food/snacking)
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS and ABILITIES (KSA's)
Knowledge of pricing structures and promotion/trade expenses & planning
Knowledge of inventory management
Knowledge of tracking/improving KPIs (Volume, Velocity, etc)
Ability to set up new accounts
Strong verbal, written, and negotiation skills.
Strong technical and analytical skills (analyze syndicated and customers portals data)
Ability to work within a matrix organization.
Computer skills, MS Office (excel and power point) advanced level.
Knowledge of the food and grocery industry.
ENVIRONMENTAL/WORKING CONDITIONS
Travel frequently up to 30-35% of Time.
Able to try and sample a wide variety of food products (dairy/meats/nuts/sweets/others) in order to represent them and recommend applications.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Be able to carry load of 30 lbs.
