Vice President Management Sales (VPMS) Job Description

The Vice President Management Sales (VPMS) is responsible for increasing and expanding EJM's Aircraft Management services activity and market share within a defined regional territory. The role involves proactive sales activities, including systematic pursuit of qualified management prospects such as corporations, individuals, flight departments, and charter brokers, through aggressive prospecting campaigns to acquire qualified customers.

Tasks and Responsibilities

  • Preparing and communicating standard and customized Management Services presentations, proposals, and materials to prospective customers, and negotiating long-term management agreements that are profitable.
  • Achieving annual sales quotas set by the Senior VP of Aircraft Management Sales and Owner Services while managing expenses within predefined budgets. Expanding EJM's aircraft management business through proactive selling techniques, including prospecting, and demonstrating comprehensive knowledge of EJM and NetJets service offerings.
  • Networking with aviation service providers, including aircraft manufacturers, maintenance and refurbishment facilities, financing groups, aircraft sales brokers, consultants, FBO operators, local business members, travel professionals, charter brokers, and NetJets personnel, especially sales representatives and flight departments.
  • Managing and documenting all sales activities within the EJM Sales database, ensuring timely synchronization with the company-wide system. Managing prospective sales calls to maximize visits during travel, preparing weekly activity reports, and providing analysis of market potential and competitor intelligence to the Senior VP. Also, providing accurate expense reports.

Education

Bachelor's degree in Aviation or Business.

Years of Experience

6-8 years of relevant experience.

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, and Other (KSAOs)

  • Proven track record in sales to corporate executives and high-net-worth individuals, with experience in building and maintaining trusted client relationships.
  • Experience leading diverse teams to meet sales goals and implement improvements.
  • Strong presentation skills, with the ability to articulate value propositions effectively.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to generate leads, prospect aggressively, and manage a sales pipeline.
  • Focus on retail charter sales, not wholesale sales to brokers.
  • Ability to work independently, solve challenges, and overcome objections.
  • Confidence in representing and selling the EJM brand and services.
  • Comfort in addressing customer issues and service deviations 24/7/365.
  • Willingness to travel extensively within the territory for customer meetings.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks, meet deadlines, and work as part of a team.
  • Detail-oriented with industry knowledge in private aviation is a plus but not mandatory.
