JT4, LLC provides engineering and technical support to multiple western test ranges for the U.S. Air Force, Space Force, and Navy under the Joint Range Technical Services Contract, better known as J-Tech II. JT4 develops and maintains realistic, integrated test and training environments and prepares our nation's war-fighting aircraft, weapons systems, and aircrews for today's missions and tomorrow's global challenges. JOB SUMMARY ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS/DUTIES Operations and maintenance technician, working under general technical guidance, who specializes in ground-based electronic systems. • Works on various types of electronic equipment and related devices by performing a combination of the following: installing, maintaining, repairing, overhauling, troubleshooting, modifying, construction and testing. Maintain understanding of electronic support equipment and follow guidelines using checklists and published work instructions/procedures. • Operates and maintains electronic equipment, network equipment, desktop clients, , and other elements associated with the P5 ACTS system. Tasks include interpretation of flight schedules for daily operations, data entry, preventative maintenance, real-time diagnosis of system faults and errors, and appropriate action for remedy. • Install, configure, and test commercial and proprietary hardware and software; perform operational testing and provide effective feedback on performance. • Performs installation of new equipment as directed; works with other departments and work centers to coordinate efforts and achieve common goal. • Applies technical knowledge of electronic principles to solve basic problems using diagrams, schematics, engineering data and test equipment. • Diagnoses equipment malfunctions and effects repairs to restore equipment to required operating condition. Manipulates computer keyboards and views and interprets computer displays. • Maintain documented maintenance actions and reporting through use of the Resource Management Center. Adherence to established maintenance procedures; use of established database tools for maintenance reporting and tracking. • Maintain understanding of all electronic and network support equipment; follow guidelines using checklists and additional published work instructions and technical manuals. • Provide customers with assistance daily, as required. Events include live mission support, post-mission debriefings, handling various types of data, and updates on mission capability / system status. • Accomplish accurate handling and storage of classified materials. • Demonstrate the ability to perform tasks and make effective decisions under stressful circumstances during live mission support events and post-mission debriefings. • Performs all other related duties as assigned or requested. REQUIREMENTS - EDUCATION, TECHNICAL AND WORK EXPERIENCE Education and/or training from an accredited college or technical school with courses in math, basic electronics, and information technology, or a military equivalent and three years of hands-on experience are required for this position. Demonstrated proficiency in general electronics and good understanding of electronic, and computer systems along with test equipment used to maintain and repair equipment is necessary. Experience with computer network equipment / configuration and desktop client configuration is required. Successful candidates will have the demonstrated ability to apply logical understanding of equipment and network function in order to skillfully perform troubleshooting. WORKING CONDITIONS Duties are performed indoors in office environment. Climbing stairs and ladders is required. Government vehicles are used on an as-needed basis. Travel to remote working locations may be necessary on a non-standard, infrequent basis.
