This position offers relocation assistance!

Under the direction of the Laboratory Director, this position serves as the primary responsible support individual of the Laboratory Information System (LIS) & its software interfaces to connected foreign systems, instruments, and point-of-care testing devices for selected laboratories (2 to 3 hospitals). This support includes, but is not limited to, test library maintenance, policy and procedure development, ad hoc report creation, upgrade support & planning, database management, security, system training, maintenance and troubleshooting. This position will serve as a liaison between Laboratory and other hospital departments to coordinate implementation of LIS changes impacting all departments, and will work collaboratively with the System Lab Service Line.

Minimum

• Bachelors degree in biological or chemical sciences
• MT or CLS or MLS certification required, ASCP or equivalent (per requirement sheet)
• Job duties require considerable knowledge of the principles and practices related to laboratory information systems in order to act as Lab LIS SME (Subject Matter Expert)
• Experience with Google management suite of tools. Skilled multi-tasker, clear communicator, and active listener who knows the right questions to in order to understand the teams needs

Preferred

• Minimum 5 years LIS Coordinator experience in an Acute Care setting with additional coursework in information systems
