Highly skilled mechanics who safely perform diagnostic, maintenance, and repair of light duty vehicles and equipment which may include quarter to one ton pickup trucks, skid steers, fork lifts, boom trucks, lube trucks or other light duty equipment.
Performs diagnostic, replacement and repairs on, but not limited to: Engines, transmissions and transaxles, manual drivetrain and axles, suspension, steering, brakes, clutches, AC units and electric motors.
Prioritize and make decisions regarding equipment repair as needed.
Performs mechanical and lubrication preventative maintenance to include: Oil and lube service, coolant system flush, transmissions services, filter and gasket checks, checking of water pumps, thermostats, belts, radiator hoses and clutch fans.
Train and mentor other employees.
Perform welding, such as: carbon arc, and Mig.
May operate equipment such as: forklifts, cranes, and small mobile equipment.
ct as a Fill-in Supervisor as needed.
Responsible for maintaining work orders, a clean and safe work area and performing work area inspections.
Perform other duties as required.
Qualifications:
2 years of experience in light duty mechanical/maintenance or a combination of education and experience in industrial mechanical repair and maintenance.
Knowledge of general to advanced electrical.
bility to read schematics.
High School diploma or GED.
SE certifications.
Knowledge and ability to use various computer aided diagnostic tools.
