Things to Remember for Your Prescott Job Interview

If you have a job interview scheduled, than you have been doing everything right so far. This is the last hurdle, so there is quite a bit you need to keep in mind when you are interviewing for Prescott jobs. Here are the dos and don’ts for job interviews.

1. Do practice before interviewing. When you try to improve your three-point basketball shooting, or learn another language, you practice. Why not do so with a job interview? Working on your delivery, anticipating questions, and perfecting your tone can only help. Get some friends to do a mock interview with you. The stress of the job interview is something everyone can relate to, and they’ll be eager to help.

2. Do not interrupt your interviewer. Interviewers can do a lot of talking, and what they have to say (particularly regarding the company) can be important and informative. You would do well to listen more than you speak, and you don’t want to come across as rude or desperate. It is entirely possible for interviewers to talk too much, but refrain from interrupting them nonetheless.

3. Do ask questions. The question and answer process is a two way street in the job interview. So feel free to ask away; it shows engagement and you will learn more about the company.

4. Don’t lie. This seems obvious but exaggerations (which definitely constitutes dishonesty) are common in interviews. Honesty is always the best policy and admitting your ignorance is always better than making something up.
